How do we build our suits?

Picture
Our heads are all foam-based, cast with our own molds! We will customize the shape according to species if your character does not fit into the usual short muzzle style.

Heads are generally lightweight, but hair and other factors can increase the weight, so be prepared if your suit has a lot of hair.

Because of the nature of foam bases and the small mouths present in many kemono suits, we do not offer a moving jaw option. Ventilation is often much more limited than other styles of suit. If the ears of your character allow it, we will cut large vents on the insides of the ears that are not visible. The are generally large enough to stick your entire arm through to the inside of the head.
We can heavily modify the shapes of our bases as well. Pictured on the right is a heavily edited canine base with prominent angry eyebrows.

Pupil Vision

Full eye vision, or colour tinted pupil vision

Full eye vision
Eyes are all drawn digitally and printed. There are various types of vision that will change depending on your design. Pupil vision means that the only vision port is the pupil, and if the pupil is black it will be like looking through tinted sunglasses. Vision is very clear. This type of eye is printed on regular sticker paper, with the pupil cut out and replaced with window tint.

Full eye or colour tinted pupil vision is possible. This means the eye usually has a unique pupil colour. In this case, the entire eye is printed on transparency paper and it is possible to see through the entire pupil, iris, and sclera, with vision quality varying depending on the colours (blue is easier to see through than dark green for example). It is also possible to do pupil vision using a coloured window tint, which results in pupil only vision that is tinted the colour of the pupil. The eye pictures here would have a purple tint, and if you were to have a red pupil the vision would be tinted red, making it harder to see in the dark.

Full eye vision is for unique eyes that are either special colours, or they have pupils that are unreasonable to see through even though they are black. In this case the entire eye is printed on transparency paper, and the entire eye can be seen through with varying degrees of visibility.
Your eyes may appear to have a mesh backing, but the mesh is actually inside the eye. The backing is clear plastic, and this is the part of the eye that will fog inside your head. Because it is flat clear plastic, you can apply products such as de-fogging spray made for glasses to the inside of the eyes. This prevents the fogging of the outer dome.

The inside of every head is fully lined. Pictured on the left is the inside of the head, with both USB fans visible along with the fur of the inner ear. The fur is visible because they are vents that lead right out of the ears to the open air to assist with ventilation. We make these vents as large as possible, and they are not visible from the outside.

Every head comes with two Noctua brand silent USB fans. The wiring is hidden in the lining, so you won't see or feel anything. These fans are positioned to blow air OUT of the head through the fur, not into your face.

Between the two fans is the forehead padding, which is removable for easy washing via velcro. You can also choose to remove it if you prefer a larger fit, or make custom padding of your own. These heads are generally spacious.

The neck of every head is fitted with a velcro-closing pocket to store the fan wires and your portable battery of choice. We recommend "lipstick" style batteries. It is also useful for storing room keys and ID.

We always strive for a clean shave! Features like teeth are custom cast by ourselves, while noses are purchased shiny plastic.

Tongues are always removable via velcro.

Hair is glued on, sewn on, or a combination of both depending on complexity.

Removable eyelids are done via velcro hidden in the eyeliner.

Limited magnetic options are available.

Our bodies are machine sewn using a strong overcasting stitch that combines a straight stitch, back stitch, and zigzag stitch. As a result, this machine stitch will not unravel if you pop a seam. We machine sew as much as we can.

Smaller markings like those pictured on the left are hand sewn with a blanket stitch. Zippers are lined, meaning there is another layer of smooth fabric between the zipper and the fur. This can help make zipping up a little easier.

Necklines are finished with bias tape, which is a thin strip of fabric used to hide raw edges of the fur. Each suit comes with custom clothing labels. We have special labels for our adoptable fursuit line, pictured above.

Our tails are attached to bodysuits, and do not use belts. Every tail can be un-stuffed through either the backing inside the suit (pictured right) or through a zipper in the tail itself if the backing is too small.

Larger tails can utilize inflatable pool toys instead of polyfil to keep them light for the wearer.

Padding for every suit is a removable, washable pair of pants that uses the same pattern as your bodysuit. It is made from a breathable and sturdy mesh material, and has a zipper above the butt for easy stuffing removal. They are easy to re-stuff and keep clean.

External details such as spikes or wings are made from a specific low pile (short length) minky fabric. They are either stuffed with regular stuffing or foam shapes.

Paws are made with mochi-style paw pads, which are extra soft and squishable. We only line the upper half of the paw to help with the heat. Paws are finished with bias tape and will be labeled as left or right when necessary.

Feetpaws are fully lined hollow foam slippers. They are one-size fits all and it is recommended to insert your own shoes when wearing them unless you are a larger shoe size. Crocs or slippers are recommended.

Feet will be labeled left or right when necessary.
